The candidate selected for this position will:
Provide authoritative analysis, technical insight, advice and recommendations on complex, sensitive actuarial matters with national impact, proposed regulations and laws, and rulings and decisions that impact PBGC.
Identify emerging issues that require study and evaluation with a focus on multiemployer pension plans and their operation, prepares position papers on these matters, and presents findings to the Department Director and other senior PBGC/PRAD staff.
Conduct special studies concerning the effects of proposed or new regulations and legislation. Provides specific direction and guidance on the development of valuation systems and models for use by PBGC.
Conduct briefing sessions and meetings with regard to areas such as PBGC initiatives, proposed policy changes, rulings, and complex technical issues. Represents the PBGC Director or PRAD Director at conferences, meetings, etc., on critical technical issues.
