If you're passionate about logistics and ready to drive success, we'd love to welcome you to our team.Location: Dallas, TX Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business and growing customer relationships within the domestic transportation and freight brokerage market.This role is ideal for an experienced transportation sales professional with an established network and strong understanding of domestic freight who can identify opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships, and provide reliable transportation solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, industry relationships, and an existing professional networkBuild and manage a strong pipeline of domestic freight brokerage opportunitiesSell transportation solutions including truckload, LTL, expedited, dedicated, and other domestic transportation servicesDevelop and grow long-term relationships with shippers and key decision-makersIdentify additional opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue and shipment volumeCollaborate closely with operations and carrier teams to ensure successful onboarding and consistent executionUnderstand customer transportation challenges and develop solutions based on service, capacity, pricing, and operational needsRepresent Sciens Logistics at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunitiesMaintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline information, and sales reportingQualifications:Experience: 3+ years of sales experience within domestic transportation, freight brokerage, or third-party logisticsProven ability to develop and grow a book of businessExisting relationships or network within the transportation and shipping industry strongly preferredStrong understanding of domestic truckload and freight brokerageDemonstrated success in new business development and account growthStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to independently develop new business opportunitiesEducation: Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant industry experience strongly consideredCompensation and Benefits:Competitive Base SalaryCompetitive monthly commission structure tied to performanceStrong operational support to help sales professionals grow and retain their businessOpportunities for continued career growth and advancementOur comprehensive benefits package includes:Medical | Dental | Vision | Basic Life and AD&D Insurance | Paid Time OffIf you're an experienced transportation sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow your book of business with strong operational support and a growing logistics company, we encourage you to apply and join the Sciens Logistics team.
